Reflect

No one develops personally or professionally by thinking only. In this seminar, we are intentional about creating opportunities for reflection — not just to deepen understanding of our conversations and experience, but to remind ourselves that a habit of reflection is key to sustaining our commitments about who we want to be as lawyers.

“So much of what we spend our days doing as lawyers is questioning things, and what this seminar has taught me is that we must turn those questions inward and hold ourselves accountable for finding the answers”

“There really is no baked-in opportunity in law school to reflect on the ‘why’ we're here in the first place and how we'll apply the substance that we learn moving forward. To do this through the lens of a tragic event that lawyers had their hands in at every step of the way AND against the backdrop of Wyoming that emphasized the importance of place was just wonderful.”

“This seminar has significantly impacted the way I will bring self-awareness and ethical considerations to my work. I am more mindful of how lawyering can lead to tricky ethical issues, and I feel that this seminar has helped me resolve to be thoughtful and more deliberate and intentional about how I approach ethically difficult issues.”
